Internal Medicine

Don't let the name fool you; internists treat the entire person, not just their internal organs.  Internists develop long lasting and beneficial relationships with their patients throughout their entire lives and are fully trained to treat patients ranging in their late teen years up to those in later stages of life.  Internists receive specialized training to not only recognize and treat common and currents diseases, but to identify initial factions that can lead to the onset of more serious illnesses.  They are also trained to diagnose and treat chronic illnesses, including those situations where multiple illnesses are present at the same time.

Are you a new patient?  Will you need help transferring your medical records to our office?  If so, please contact the Moore County Hospital District Medical Records department at (806) 934-7850, and they will assist you with the process.

Please help us to ensure that your visit does not cost you more than necessary by knowing what your insurance companies policies are.  Once you know if your insurance requires a referral before making your appointment, please just give our office a call at (806) 934-7868 (before January 2023) and we will help schedule you at on a convenient date and time.

  • A list of medications you are currently taking (including dosage and times),  
  • Your medical insurance card(s), 
  • Your picture ID
  • Your medical history.

 If you are more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled time, we may need to reschedule your appointment.  If you will be unable to make your appointment at all, please contact our office to cancel or to reschedule, preferably 24 hours in advance, so we may allow another patient to be seen in your place.

 Our staff will answer your questions and, if necessary, Dr. Addo will return phone calls at the end of the day as to not interfere with the evaluation and treatment of other patients being seen.

Financial Information

Insurance

Insurance companies and their policies are known to vary greatly.  Please check with your insurance company to determine what they require in order to cover your appointment with us, or our office can gladly determine that for you before we schedule you in.  Please help us to ensure that your visit does not cost you more than necessary by knowing what your insurance companies policies are.

If your insurance is not listed, you may contact your insurance carrier or simply contact our office to check if we are a participating provider.  

Payment Policy

 Office Visits: Full payment, copays, and/or deductibles are due at the time of your appointment.  Every effort is made to accurately estimate this charge, but please be aware that this will only be an estimate based on what we know about your insurance company.  The final determination of payment will lie with your insurance carrier.    


 PLEASE NOTE: The fees discussed by us with you represent the fees for the services provided by Moore County Adult Medicine only.  Hospital, laboratory, imaging, or other physician services will not be included in any estimate provided by us.
